Pioneer Press - Twin Cities, JUDY KAYE (Holmes) VARNADO September 23 1961-June 6 2012 In Memoriam It has been three years since the passing of my mother Judy Kaye Varnado, but there has hardly been time lost. It is very easy for one to sit and wallow at a time like this, especially when theperson lost was so very inspirational and impactful. Fortunately,anyone who knows us knows that, that is not the spirit of the Varnado-Holmes family. While yes, we have lost a star we have not lost our light. We are stilltogether pushing on in our own successful ways. While yes, we have had long periods of sadness; we have risen from those ashes and made the decision to let the good moments trump the bad. While yes, many of us might have slipped in the wake of this tragedy none of us have fallen; we are all very well in our way to walking just fine. And finally, while yes, all of us may wish that my mother was still here, we have all done what she would have wanted and learned to get on just fine without her. I am sure that not a day goes by that my mother is not on the mind of someone she has touched while on this Earth, and this is how her legacy lives on. It has been three years and yes, it still hurts, but we have all learned thatwithout pain, there is no gain. Love you Mom, thinking of you always.
