Pioneer Press - Twin Cities, MICHAEL LERSCHEN He was only 17 He had his whole life ahead of him and yet his life was disappearing right before our eyes. We were in a state of shock and disbelief. This happened 10 years ago today. He was only a passenger in a friend's automobile. However, he paid the price for the driver's mistakes. Several hundred mourners said their goodbyes at Michael's wake and funeral. Many of his classmates held an eighteenth birthday party for him and saluted him during their high school graduation the following year. Michael should have been part of that graduation. Over the past 10 years we have visited with many of Michael's friends. Each time we wonder what would Michael be doing at this stage of his life. Michael, we miss your enthusiasm for life, your smile, your concern for your family and friends, and your love. You are always on our minds and in our hearts. The family of Michael Lerschen wishes to thank Michael's friends and relatives for their kindness and courtesy over the past ten years. Love, Barbara, Jim and John Lerschen
